What is demi-fine jewellery?
Demi-fine jewellery sits between costume and fine jewellery. It uses quality materials — such as brass and cubic zirconia with precious-metal (rhodium) plating — to give a fine-jewellery look and feel at an accessible price, without solid gold or natural diamonds.
What are 5A CZ crystals?
Cubic zirconia (CZ) is a lab-created stone graded from A to 5A for cut, clarity and brilliance. 5A is the highest grade — the clearest and most brilliant, closest to a diamond's sparkle. Every Duavaa piece uses 5A CZ.
What is rhodium plating, and why does it matter?
Rhodium is a precious metal from the platinum family. A rhodium finish gives a bright, white, reflective surface, adds durability, and improves resistance to tarnish and scratches — the same finish used on white-gold fine jewellery.
Is Duavaa jewellery hypoallergenic and nickel-free?
Yes. Our pieces are made with hypoallergenic, nickel-free brass, so they are suitable for sensitive skin.
Will it tarnish?
